It’s the main entry point for most visitors and has many attractions making it worth a short stay: Parliament Palace, Old Town and a number of museums and churches as well as exciting nightlife. From here, it is easy to get a car rental to the Black Sea costal city of Constanta, which is equally impressive and features the added bonus of a great beach.
Transylvania is Romania’s most famous area and the city of Brasov is most popular due to its medieval history and proximity to the Carpathian Mountains and the famous Bran Castle. Both are easy to visit on a day trip by car hire. Another Transylvanian favorite and worthwhile site is the historic city of Sibiu.
