Aruba is a favorite amongst many due to its stunning beaches, turquoise seas and warm waters. But it is more than just beaches, as there are some stunning inland sights to be visited such as the rock formation at the Natural Pool and the Arikok National Park. Bonaire is known for its fantastic dive sites, pristine reefs and flamingos, while Curacao is notable for its culture.

Northeast of the A-B-C islands is where Americans will find the Leeward islands of Saba and Sint Eustatius, which are known more for their landscapes than their beaches. Each is a volcanic island featuring stunning ecosystems and excellent diving opportunities. The island of Sint Maarten is renowned for its shopping and beaches in which clothing is optional.

Best time to visit

These islands are known for their hurricanes and therefore the months between July and October should be avoided. However some great deals can be found for those wanting to try their luck. Most Americans prefer to visit through the winter months to escape the cold weather.

Driving in Netherlands Antilles

A car rental is a great way to explore these islands and visit less touristy spots. For the most part, the roads are in good condition however the Leeward Island’s roads are not the greatest.
