Car hire Denmark

The beautiful country of Denmark is a fascinating and wonderful destination for American travelers to head to. From the eco-friendly businesses to the smattering of islands that surround the mainland, it’s a diverse place in Europe. It may not be the first choice of destinations but if you’re looking for stunning architecture, friendly people and picturesque countryside, it’s a very intriguing place to go to.

Car hire in Denmark is recommended, as there are many rural areas to explore as well as the Lakes district, which is fabulous to see. Linking to other countries in Scandinavia, it’s a perfect stepping-stone to the Nordic countries from mainland Europe. Compare car hire before you leave as it can be expensive if you buy after you’ve landed in Copenhagen, for instance.

Travelers’ favorites

Legoland in Billund is a popular choice with families and has its very own theme park. The colored bricks can be bought, played with and used in the theme park, too. There are the old castles in Sonderborg and the lovely fjords of Nykobing Falster. Copenhagen is the bustling capital city that has many luxury hotels and restaurants as well as being the number one location for shopping.

Herning allows access to the beautiful beaches, which, during the summer are jammed with other Scandinavians catching some rays. Aarhus is the cultural capital of Denmark and has an Open Air Museum, which depicts the city in the 1800s.

Best time to visit

The best time to visit Denmark is in the summer. The warm months of July and August allow you to sunbathe on the beaches and by the lakes, but also sidestep the cold snaps of the winter. That said, the winter is perfect for snowmobiling and for Americans that live in the south, seeing feet of snow might be incredible.
