The Cayman Islands are situated in the Western Caribbean Sea south of Cuba and consist of three beautiful islands: Little Cayman, Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac. Grand Cayman is the biggest and most populated island, thus you will find plenty of first class facilities on this island such as car hire, bars, shops and a wider range of hotels. It is also on this island you will find a great deal of attractions, some of which include the Cayman Islands National Museum, Pedro St James Castle, Boatswain’s Beach and Cemetery Beach.
If you prefer a location that is a little more laid back yet just as beautiful, then you may find Little Cayman is more suitable. This island is, at 10 miles long, the smallest of the three, and can easily be explored in one day with a car rental. Little Cayman may be the smallest, but it is one of the most popular islands for diving, as it has more tan 50 different diving spots for you to enjoy. The island is also home to Point o’ Sand Beach, which is known for providing amazing views of the other islands.

After you have accessed the Cayman Islands via air via airlines such as American Airlines, which connects through Miami, or US Airways, which connects through Philadelphia and Charlotte, one of the most popular ways to explore the island of your choice is via car. Many people choose to compare car hire online before they arrive, as this often results in a wider choice of vehicle and a better value. The most noticeable difference about driving here is that you should drive on the left hand side of the road, thus great care should be taken. You should also note that it is required that all visitors who intend to drive obtain a visitor’s driving license from one of the islands’ police stations, which requires you show your American driving license and submit a small fee.
