Best attractions in Aruba
Aside from the miles of beaches and the surfing opportunities, there are amazing rock formations, an aloe farming factory tour, smaller islands nearby and even donkey sanctuaries. There are many Dutch influences, such as the De Oude Molen Windmill, which was shipped over from the Netherlands.
The resorts usually have a myriad of activities for even the most adventurous of travelers, such as sea trekking, sailing, rock climbing, ATV rides, snorkeling or submarine tours. Glass-bottom boats are available and some even catch and cook fish while you wait. It’s important to remember not to wear beach attire unless you’re on the beach. The island keeps its up-market appeal and expects tourists to do the same.
Best time to visit
With an average temperature of 80 degrees and almost zero seasons, any time is a good time to head to Aruba for some sunshine. There is little rain and the sea provides a nice breeze to take the edge of the heat. During the late summertime, the seas can be ferocious, so keep that in mind if you’re swimming or surfing.
